James talks about Living with Dentures

Have you accepted your dentures?

I kind of cope with them, I really would like to have something that I could just put in and forget. Having your own teeth is definitely superior to dentures but I’ve just fallen into getting used to it and having a routine. Life goes on, and actually I kind of, on a day to day basis, pretty well forget I’m wearing them most of the time.

How has Poligrip affected your life?

They just improved the comfort and really helped with security. Just knowing that I wasn’t going to be chewing plastic and whatever. That I was going to get through a meal without having to dash off to the bathroom to re-fix my dentures. It made wearing them tolerable, initially it was a pain before and it just made the fit a lot more comfortable.

Do you have any hints and tips to give other denture wearers?

There are times when eating’s difficult, but most of the time the routine’s only about cleaning your teeth and looking after your dentures.
